How long do I have to pay after a Seller is assigned to me?

Accepted Answer

You have exactly 15 minutes from the moment a Seller is assigned. Complete the transfer and click “I Have Made Payment” inside that window. The countdown runs on VCN server time, so changing your device clock has no effect.

What happens if I do not pay within 15 minutes?

Accepted Answer

The assignment expires automatically and the Seller returns to the Sellers Queue. Nothing is deducted and you are not penalised — the expired assignment simply stays in your transaction history. When you are ready, use “Assign Seller Again” to request another Seller and receive a fresh 15-minute window.

How long does the Seller have to confirm my payment?

Accepted Answer

After you click “I Have Made Payment”, the Seller has 15 minutes to verify the transfer and click “Payment Received”, plus a 5-minute grace period. Your message and the receipt for that exact purchase are sent to the Seller together.

When can I open an appeal?

Accepted Answer

The appeal option becomes available only after you have paid and the Seller’s 30-minute response window has passed without confirmation. An appeal opens a case in the Resolution Center for the VCN Management Team to review with your evidence.

Who can fund Utility Credit?

Accepted Answer

Utility Credit funding is available to members who have successfully completed at least one qualifying ₦5,000 Marketplace cycle. One successfully completed cycle is enough — you do not need to complete a new cycle each time you want to fund Utility Credit.

Can I fund Utility Credit after paying only the Activation Fee?

Accepted Answer

No. Paying the Activation Fee alone does not make you eligible. You must successfully complete the qualifying ₦5,000 Marketplace cycle.

I already have Utility Credits — does that make me eligible to fund Utility Credit?

Accepted Answer

Having Utility Credits alone does not determine eligibility. You must first have successfully completed at least one ₦5,000 Marketplace cycle. Referral activity, joining the Sellers Queue, holding a Marketplace Selling License or a balance in another wallet also do not make you eligible on their own.

Eligible members fund Utility Credits through VCN Secure Payment. After the payment is successfully verified by VCN on the server, the funded amount is credited to your VCN Utility Wallet as Utility Credits.

No. Utility Credit funding is completed only through VCN Secure Payment. Your Utility Credits are held in your VCN Utility Wallet and can be used for VCN Airtime Recharge, VCN Data Bundles, electricity, TV subscriptions and other supported services.

Pause Queue allows you to temporarily stop your active participation in the Sellers Queue when you are unavailable. While your queue is paused, you won't receive new buyer assignments. You can resume when you're ready to continue. Pausing does not remove you from the queue and does not delete your queue record or history.

Will I lose my queue position if I pause?

Pausing does not delete your Sellers Queue record or queue history. When you resume, your participation continues according to the existing Sellers Queue rules. Your exact numerical position may change as the queue continues to move, so VCN does not guarantee that you will return to the exact same position.

Can I receive a buyer while my queue is paused?

Accepted Answer

No. While your Sellers Queue is paused, you are temporarily unavailable for new buyer assignments. You can resume your queue when you are ready to continue.

Can I pause after getting a buyer?

Pausing your queue does not automatically cancel an existing buyer assignment. If you already have an active buyer transaction, the existing transaction rules still apply. Depending on the transaction status, you may need to complete or resolve that transaction before pausing.
